What Do You Think We Should Wear?
We can safely advise you on what to wear without requiring a red carpet tutorial. Three Cs to consider when deciding what to wear at a beach photoshoot --Commitment, Comfort and Color!
1. Make sure whatever you wear, you are committed to your decision. There will be days when the sun feels like a relentless bully, making you sweat and uncomfortable during an important occasion. Whether you're in a wedding dress or a summer dress, 3 piece tuxedo or a khakis and a shirt, think about the beautiful blue waters. It will all be over soon!
2. It's important to be comfortable, There will be times when you're actually outside of your comfort zone depending on what you're wearing, but the commitment (number 1) will help you overcome that. Comfort usually comes with wearing something cool (in more ways than one)--something that speaks to your personality. Also, you want to consider the weather. There are 4 seasons in the Bahamas--summer, summer, summer, and you guessed it!....summer. Usually November to March are the cooler months of the year in the Bahamas. Everything else can range from hardcore sunshine to liquid sunshine.
3. Choosing colors can seem a little more complex. We'll try to make it as simple as possible. When deciding what color to wear, you can keep it "in the family", or you can mix and match. You can all wear the same/similar colors, (variations in the same color family to spice it up). If you decide to mix and match (even if it's the complete opposite color), just make sure the colors have a similar intensity, so that one color doesn't "overpower" another unless it's intentional. There's obviously a lot more to the science of color, but we'll stick to visuals.
The classic all white.
Pastels, similar intensity.
A little mix and match.
